You can teach!

We all live busy lives. I was speaking to one of my friends yesterday.

We had not seen each other in a few weeks and we were catching up.

He brought me up to speed on his family and his job.

He is a great father to two little ones and they have another one on the way.

They are happily married, and both he and his  wife work full time as well

as go to school in the evenings.

He goes on line and she attends a local community college.

We talked about our hobbies and then he said that he would like to one day

do something that would help educate people, especially our youth.

I loved his idea and asked him if he had ever thought about joining

a community development organization, volunteering to present at the local schools,

or even blogging about it or putting it on You Tube.

I told him about the Khan Academy and how it had gotten started

by a young educator Salman Khan in 2006.

He now has over 3100 learn at your own pace videos geared to teaching

everything from arithmetic, to finance to history.

He had never heard about it.

But started thinking about ways that he could also teach

and share with others about bee keeping.

So today I would like to put out a challenge to everyone that is reading this.

So many of us have hobbies and special gifts and talents that we

could be sharing.

There are many ways to get involved, from local organizations

to global outreach ones.

Just imagine how great it feels when we share or enlighten someone else?

Imagine doing that on a much larger scale?

We are all a part of the human extension of the world's embrace.

Live - Love and Grow.

Teach someone something today.

Make it a great día!
